Some couples make you excited to photograph their wedding from the very beginning, and Kendall and Hannah were absolutely one of those couples.

From our first conversations, I knew this was going to be a good one. They have the best sense of humor, they are incredibly kind, and throughout the entire planning process, Hannah trusted me so much creatively. Having that kind of trust from a couple means everything to me!

Because when your couple trusts you wholeheartedly, you get to show up on the wedding day calm, cool, and collected, knowing that you can fully focus on what you do best: documenting the day as it unfolds.

And that is exactly how I felt walking into Kendall and Hannah's wedding at Peterson-Dumesnil House.

It was the most perfect summer day, and from beginning to end, the entire day just felt really, really good.

A Wedding Day Filled With So Much Love

One of the first things I noticed about Kendall and Hannah's wedding was just how much love surrounded them.

You could feel it between the two of them, but you could also feel it throughout their families. It was an emotional day in the absolute best way, filled with happy tears, laughter, and so many little moments that showed just how loved these two are.

Some of my favorite moments happened while Hannah was getting ready with her mom and sister.

There was something so sweet about being able to document those quiet moments before the ceremony—the conversations, the emotions, and simply having the three of them together before the day really began.

Those in-between moments are such an important part of a wedding day to me. They may not be the moments everyone thinks to put on the timeline, but years from now, I know they will mean so much.

The First Look That Took the Cake

I've photographed a lot of first looks, but Kendall and Hannah's might genuinely take the cake.

Usually, the groom sees his bride for the first time and you get a few happy tears, maybe a big smile, maybe a long hug.

Kendall? He could barely contain himself. The second he saw Hannah, he immediately went in for a kiss because he was just so overjoyed to finally see his bride.

It was one of those moments where you don't have to direct anything. You just step back and let the moment happen. And that's exactly what I love about being a wedding photographer!

The best photographs aren't always the ones you plan. Sometimes they're the ones that happen because someone simply can't hold back how they feel.

The Sweetest Gift

During one of their private moments, Kendall gave Hannah a gift that I honestly don't think I've ever seen before.

It was a custom figurine that looked like the two of them. It was so incredibly cute and such a personal little detail.

I loved that it wasn't just a traditional wedding-day gift, but something that felt specifically like them. Those are the details I always want to remember in a wedding gallery.

Not just what was beautiful, but what was meaningful. The things that make you think, of course they chose this.

The In-Between Moments

If there's one thing I hope comes through when you look at Kendall and Hannah's gallery, it's how much of their day was about the moments in between.

The laughter. The happy tears. The quiet moments together. The way their families looked at them. The little interactions happening all around them.

And one moment that was especially meaningful was when Kendall and Hannah took communion together during their ceremony.

Faith is a big part of their lives, so being able to document that moment felt incredibly special. It was quiet and intentional in the middle of a day that was otherwise full of celebration.

Those are the moments that remind me why I love documentary-style wedding photography. There are so many layers to a wedding day, and sometimes the most meaningful photographs are the ones that happen quietly in the background.

“Marrying My Best Friend”

Before the wedding, I asked Hannah what she was most looking forward to about her wedding day. Her answer honestly made me smile.

She said she was looking forward to having me as her photographer and marrying her best friend.

Obviously, hearing that as a photographer meant so much to me. But I think the second part really sums up the entire feeling of their wedding day. Kendall and Hannah genuinely enjoy each other.

You can see it in the way they laugh together, the way they look at each other, and especially in the way Kendall reacted when he finally saw Hannah walking toward him.

They weren't just celebrating a wedding, they were celebrating their best friend!

A Perfect Summer Day

From the first moment of the day to the very last, everything just felt good.

The weather was perfect. Their families were fully present. There were happy tears and plenty of laughter. There were quiet moments, meaningful moments, and a whole lot of joy.

And because Hannah trusted me so completely throughout the entire process, I felt like I could really settle into the day and document it the way I saw it.

That kind of trust is something I never take for granted.

Kendall and Hannah, thank you for trusting me with something so important. Your wedding was full of the kind of moments that make this job so special, and I am so grateful I got to be there to photograph them.
