I had an absolute blast capturing Tamara and Tyler’s engagement session in downtown Louisville and Nulu! From the moment we met, their energy was infectious, and it was so easy to see just how much fun they have together. While I’m so sad I won’t be joining them for their incredible wedding in Ireland, I couldn’t be happier that we got to document this special chapter in a place that means so much to them.


We kicked off the session at Gertie’s, an amazing bar in Nulu that holds a special place in their hearts—it’s where they had their first date! I love when couples choose locations that are personal to their story because it makes every shot feel even more meaningful. The cozy, intimate atmosphere of Gertie’s was the perfect backdrop for capturing their love, and watching them laugh, reminisce, and enjoy the moment together made for the most effortless, candid photos.


After soaking up all the nostalgia at Gertie’s, we made our way to City Hall, where we stumbled upon the most stunning emerald green door. Something about that deep green against the urban backdrop felt timeless and elegant—just like their love. Whether they were strolling hand in hand through the streets of Nulu or stealing a quiet moment in front of the city’s hidden gems, Tamara and Tyler made every shot feel natural and effortless.


Their engagement session was the perfect blend of playful, romantic, and authentic, which fits them so well. I love when couples bring their personality into their session, and these two absolutely did that. Every moment was filled with so much laughter, love, and anticipation for what’s to come. Even though I won’t be in Ireland with them, I know their wedding is going to be nothing short of magical.
