Some sessions just settle into your heart, and Isa and Nick’s engagement photos in Old Louisville did exactly that. From the moment we met up beneath the historic trees of Central Park, I knew this was going to be one of those sessions I’d think about long after the photos were delivered.


What made this one so special is that it was their first time taking photos together — but you would’ve never known. Truly, Isa and Nick were naturals. The kind of couple who falls into rhythm without even trying. The soft smiles, the little glances, the way they made each other laugh… everything felt warm, easy, and completely them.


Old Louisville was the perfect backdrop for their energy. The soft fall light filtering through the trees, the historic architecture, the peaceful paths of Central Park — it all created this quiet, romantic world that felt like it belonged just to them. They embraced every moment with such ease, moving through poses like they’d done it a hundred times before. Nothing felt forced. Nothing felt overly posed. Just two people showing up with open hearts and a whole lot of love.


Fun fact: Isa and Nick are both cat lovers — and the universe must’ve known. Midway through the session, a little neighborhood cat wandered over and decided to join in on the fun! It was the cutest surprise guest, and honestly, the photos with our furry friend are some of my favorites. It felt so fitting for them, and added the sweetest, most unexpected touch to their gallery.


One thing I loved most is how they trusted me every step of the way. Whether I asked them to walk slowly under the canopy of trees or simply hold each other and breathe in the moment, they leaned into it fully. And because of that, the photos feel real. They feel full. They feel like Isa & Nick.
