I had the absolute pleasure of capturing Hayley and Jaylan’s engagement session in downtown Louisville, and it couldn’t have been more perfect. Their love story is one for the books—after eloping earlier this year, they wanted an engagement session that celebrated their journey before their big wedding reception. From the moment we started, it was clear that their connection was something truly special.



We began our session at The Louisville Main Library, a location that immediately caught Hayley’s eye. The library’s grand architecture and stunning Victorian-style murals provided the most elegant backdrop, blending history and romance in a way that felt like stepping into a love story from another era. As they wandered through the space, holding hands and sharing quiet smiles, I could see how much this moment meant to them—taking a pause to soak in the beauty of their journey together.



From there, we made our way to Louisville City Hall, a location that holds deep significance for them. This is where they officially became husband and wife earlier this year, making it the perfect spot to continue their engagement photos. Standing in the very place where they exchanged vows, Hayley and Jaylan’s love radiated through every shot. The way they looked at each other—filled with admiration, joy, and excitement for what’s to come—was pure magic.



While the locations were stunning, the true focus of this session was their undeniable love and chemistry. From playful moments on the steps of City Hall to soft, intimate embraces in front of the library’s historic murals, every shot reflected their story in the most authentic way. Their session wasn’t just about taking photos—it was about capturing who they are, the journey they’ve been on, and the beautiful future ahead.
