Courtney and Carson’s engagement session in Old Historic Louisville was one of those fall evenings that reminds me why this season is such a favorite. The weather was perfect — crisp air, golden light, and just enough color starting to show throughout the neighborhood.


These two were so easy to photograph. Courtney and Carson are clearly very in love, and it shows in the quiet moments just as much as the laughter. Nothing felt forced or over-posed. We spent the session walking, talking, and honestly just frolicking through the historic streets — letting the neighborhood and the season do what it does best.


Old Historic Louisville in the fall always feels a little magical. The architecture, the tree-lined streets, and the soft light make everything feel nostalgic, almost cinematic. Every year, this time of year gives total Hallmark movie energy, and this session was no exception.


What I loved most was how present Courtney and Carson were with each other. They leaned into the moment, trusted the process, and let their connection shine through naturally. Sessions like this feel less like a photoshoot and more like documenting a really good day.


I’m already so excited to photograph Courtney and Carson’s wedding in 2026. If their engagement session is any indication, their wedding day is going to be full of warmth, love, and the kind of moments you don’t have to force!
